Broadcasting

Improvements identified with advanced telecom have been pursued intently by the Supreme Council due to the broad sending of the computerized advances in the varying media area. Thinking about the reconciliation with Europe in communicating frameworks, broadcasting nature of this new innovation and financial arrangements, the Supreme Council has chosen to get ready Turkish Radio and Television Digital Frequency Plans for switch-over.
To this end, the Commission for Radio and Television Digital Frequency Planning has been made with a convention by Bilkent University in 1998 and began to work.

Broadcasting

This commission presented the followings to Supreme Council;
- Turkish Terrestrial Digital TV Frequency Plan with 6 volumes on 12 June 2000.
- Turkish Terrestrial Digital Radio Frequency Plan with 3 volumes on 27 November 2000.
Simple and Digital Radio and TV Frequency Plans were moved to Telecommunication Authority by Law No. 4756 dated 15 May 2002, changing the Law No. 3984.
In parallel to the referenced works, Digital Broadcasting Concept arranged because of the gatherings with the related establishments in the structure of related Prime Ministry Directive has been submitted to the Communication High Council.

Broadcasting

The by-laws identified with the Digital Satellite and Cable Broadcasting were issued and the investigations identified with the by-law on Terrestrial Digital Broadcasting were done by the related Departments.
